A campsite run with passion

One of our guests described us in a review with the following words: “Easily the best campsite near Gothenburg and Varberg!” We’re really proud of that. Sometimes you fancy a taste of city life in Gothenburg and Varberg, and other times you just want a bit of peace and quiet. Not always an easy equation to work out, but that’s why Åsa Camping & Havsbad is one of your best options! Add to that activities on the doorstep in forests, waterways and on bikes, masses of places to visit in the area and last but not least the shopping paradise, Ullared, and you’ve surely found your perfect place for the day, weekend or the whole holiday….

Map

Area map for Åsa Camping &

Havsbad

Åsa. A classic seaside resort. People have enjoyed its lovely sandy beaches and sea swimming since the 1920s. Accommodation is literally on the beach and yet still in the middle of the village. North Halland. An area where the rocky northern west coast gives way to the shallow waters of the southern west coast. Here you don’t have to choose – you get both. Many of our guests return year after year. Many have visited as kids and return with their own children and grandchildren. We’ve noticed that many new guests often stay longer than they’d at first planned. They book a couple of extra days, or come again later in the season – on the way back from wherever they might have been. We think it’s because, quite simply, it’s hard to leave somewhere so idyllic when you’ve found it. Just over 200 places for caravans, campervans, and tents – almost all with electric hook ups. Of these 95 pitches are for our seasonal guests. Our pitches come in different sizes and to make your stay the best possible we like to know the length of your vehicle – you’ll find more info on our online booking page.

Facilities

Making sure that the facilities block is always really clean and fresh is one of our top priorities. It’s a prerequisite. There are showers, toilets, a children’s room, kitchen, and dining room in the building. The shower costs 5 SEK for 3 minutes. It shortens the queues and helps the environment. And this way you only pay for your own shower time.

Alcohol and smoking are naturally not allowed in the facilities block. All indoor environments are pet free for the sake of our guests with allergies.

There’s a service area on site for emptying of permanent tanks and freshwater refilling, click here for the map. You can also dispose of wastewater and empty portable tanks there.

Prices & suchlike

Yep we still have a completely normal pricelist

Hostel

Three rooms, twelve beds in total. Not massive but very cosy. You’ll find outdoor seating and a barbecue on the veranda – perfect for a beer, and with a lovely view of the campsite and Vita Sand. Each room has a bunk bed, kitchen table, chairs, and a fridge. Showers, toilets, and water are available in the facilities block 50m away. There’s also a communal kitchen in that block, with a lockable cupboard for every room, with kitchen utensils, coffee maker and other bits and bobs. Bring your own bedlinen and towels or hire from us. Highchair and travel cot can be loaned.

Seasonal

Seasonal pitches are for anyone who just can’t get enough. Of Åsa. Of the west coast. Of camping. When you want to come back even before you’ve got here and when you realise that summer is coming to an end and all you want is to make it last longer.

Campervan
pitches

Pitches for campervans, nearest the sea. Not many. With or without electricity, a bit further away from the facilities block.
